Match report as Brentford were held to a 1-1 draw at newly promoted Hull City.
Brentford made it four draws out of four on the road in the Premier League this season as Keith Andrews’ side were held to a 1-1 draw by Hull City at the MKM Stadium.
Oli McBurnie opened the scoring for the hosts from the penalty spot inside 25 minutes as a result of Tim Iroegbunam being brought down by Aaron Hickey after a hospital pass from goalkeeper Coaimhin Kelleher.

Despite each side pushing for a winner, clear-cut chances were limited in a game which largely lacked quality, ensuring the points were shared.
Both sides had made three changes from their last outings, with Ryan Giles, Tim Iroegbunam and Elliot Stroud coming in for Brooke Norton-Cuffy, Matt Crooks and Sorba Thomas for the hosts whilst Kevin Schade, Mamadou Sangare and Aaron Hickey replaced Jaidon Anthony and the suspended duo of Vitaly Janelt and Yehor Yarmoliuk for Brentford.
Brentford started the game slowly, and produced arguably their worst half an hour of the season so far prior to McBurnie putting Hull ahead.
The West Londoners however responded well to going behind and should have pulled level on the stroke of half time as Kevin Schade’s goalbound effort was unluckily blocked by Igor Thiago after a cut back from Dango Ouattara.
Keith Andrews made two substitutions an hour into the game as the Bees bid to draw level. Mikkel Damsgaard replaced Aaron Hickey, who had started the game in midfield, whilst Jaidon Anthony was brought on, to the surprise of some, in place of top scorer Kevin Schade rather than Dango Ouattara, who had been substituted at half time in last weekend's 2-1 defeat to Liverpool.
The call from Andrews proved an inspired decision in the end, with Anthony’s cross just minutes after coming on failing to be cleared adequately by Giles, before Thiago unselfishly set the ball off for Ouattara to stab home from close quarters.

Hull also had chances to take all three points as Kelleher was called into action to deny Mohamed Ali Cho with a fine save with his feet before Joe Gelhardt spurned a golden chance in the 89th minute, failing to hit the target from a cut back inside the area.
A draw sees Brentford return to sixth in the Premier League table, where they began the gameweek, whilst Sergej Jakirovic’s side find themselves in tenth, and in the top half.
Up next, Brentford travel to Sunderland in the Carabao Cup before taking on Nottingham Forest at home next weekend, whilst Hull will host Ipswich Town.
