The Bees bolster their attack with the productive forward, securing a four-year deal for Anthony.
Brentford have added Jaidon Anthony to their squad, signing the forward from Burnley for an undisclosed fee.
The 26-year-old arrives on a four-year contract, with Brentford holding an option for a further year.
Anthony joins after a standout Premier League campaign at Burnley, where he scored eight goals and set up four more in 2025/26. He missed just one league game all season, and even found the net against Brentford at Turf Moor back in February.
His arrival hands head coach Keith Andrews another option in attack as Brentford continue to reshape their squad for the new season. Comfortable out wide, Anthony brings experience from both the Premier League and Championship.
Across spells with Bournemouth and Burnley, Anthony has clocked up 70 Premier League appearances, scoring 11 goals and providing five assists.
Speaking as part of Brentford’s announcement, Andrews said Brentford had followed Anthony’s career for some time before completing the deal.
“We’re delighted to be able to sign Jaidon,” Andrews said.
“We’ve been aware of Jaidon’s journey for a long, long time and have always admired him from afar.
“He did really well last season, which is difficult in a team that got relegated.
“After meeting him, it became very evident that he’d fit into the culture of the club and add to the squad.
“He still has so much more room for growth and improvement, and we’re really looking forward to working with him.”
Born in Hackney, Anthony spent a decade in Arsenal’s academy before moving to Bournemouth’s youth ranks. His first taste of senior football came on loan at Weymouth during the 2019/20 season.
The Covid-19 pandemic cut that spell short, but Anthony still helped Weymouth clinch promotion to the National League via the play-offs, scoring in the semi-final and holding his nerve from the spot in the decisive shootout against Dartford.
He returned to Bournemouth and made his first-team debut in December 2020, setting up a goal in a 3-2 defeat to Preston North End.
Anthony’s breakthrough came in 2021/22 as Bournemouth secured promotion back to the Premier League. He missed just one Championship match that season, finishing with eight goals and six assists.
He featured regularly in Bournemouth’s return to the top flight, then spent 2023/24 on loan at Leeds United, helping them reach the Championship play-off final at Wembley, where they lost out to Southampton.
A season-long loan at Burnley followed, where Anthony played his part in a 100-point promotion campaign. He ended that year with 15 direct goal involvements from 43 appearances, earning a permanent move in May 2025.
Now, after his most productive Premier League season yet, Brentford have brought Anthony to West London, adding another forward with proven top-flight pedigree and a recent track record of end product.
