Brentford are reportedly interested in FC Dallas midfielder Kaick Silva ahead of the summer transfer window.
According to RTI Esporte, Brentford are among the clubs monitoring the 20-year-old, who has attracted attention after establishing himself at FC Dallas. Betis and Chelsea are also credited with interest in the Brazilian midfielder.
Kaick came through the academy at Grêmio before joining FC Dallas in March 2025. The MLS side paid around US$4million for the midfielder, and he is now under contract until December 2028. That gives Dallas a strong negotiating position if European interest develops into formal offers.
The report adds that Kaick’s release clause stands at US$20million, a figure that reflects both his growing reputation and the level of protection built into his current deal. Grêmio also retained a 20 per cent sell-on clause when he moved to FC Dallas, meaning the Brazilian club would be due a share of any future transfer.
From a Brentford perspective, the profile is understandable. The club have consistently looked for players with development potential, athletic qualities and resale value, particularly in markets where they believe there is room for growth. A 20-year-old midfielder already gaining regular senior experience in MLS would fit that type of recruitment model.
Kaick is described as a midfielder who has impressed with his tactical consistency, defensive work and ability to help progress the ball. That blend would naturally appeal to clubs looking for younger midfielders who can grow into more demanding tactical environments.
RTI Esporte’s reporting points to interest rather than negotiations, and FC Dallas’ long contract gives them control over the situation.
Midfield could be an area Brentford continue to assess this summer. Keith Andrews’ side already have experience and depth in central areas, but the club’s recruitment has rarely been limited to immediate gaps. Brentford have often acted early when they believe a player’s profile could develop within their system.
Kaick appears to be one of several young players attracting European attention after making progress outside the traditional major leagues. Whether Brentford’s interest becomes more concrete remains to be seen, but the link fits the club’s broader approach to identifying emerging talent before the market becomes too crowded.
