The Bees outshine rivals with top scores for matchday atmosphere and staff performance, proving that Gtech Community Stadium offers the Premier League’s most inclusive and well-run experience.
Brentford have finished first in the Premier League’s Matchday Fan Experience and Engagement Survey, returning to top spot after placing second in each of the previous two campaigns.
The club recorded an overall score of 80.8, with the survey based on responses from nearly 32,000 match-attending supporters across the Premier League. More than 1,100 Brentford fans contributed to the results, an increase on last year’s figure.
It is a notable off-pitch result for Brentford at a time when the club’s progress is often judged through league position, recruitment and player development. The survey points to something just as important to the club’s identity: whether supporters feel the matchday experience at Gtech Community Stadium is still working as Brentford continue to grow as a Premier League club.
The Bees ranked inside the top six in every measurement contributing to the overall score, while 96 per cent of supporters said they felt positive about the atmosphere at the Gtech. The club also said 95 per cent of fans felt Brentford provide an inclusive experience for all supporters.
The Gtech is one of the smaller grounds in the division, but the atmosphere and closeness of the crowd have often been treated as part of the club’s competitive edge.
Brentford also scored well for providing a family-friendly environment and for how the club deals with negative fan behaviour, with the number of incidents remaining below the league average.
There was clear evidence that supporter feedback has shaped practical changes. The Bees introduced in-stadium wi-fi and held tasting events at the Gtech for fans to try new matchday food and drink options. The club ranked third in the Premier League for wi-fi connectivity and second for the quality and range of food and drink.
The club also ranked top for the attitude and performance of staff overall, including ticket office staff, during a season in which digital ticketing was introduced. Away from matchdays, 98 per cent of Brentford supporters said they feel the club is well run, while Brentford also placed first for openness and transparency of communications.
Speaking in the announcement, Sally Stephens, Brentford’s fan and community relations director, said the result reflected work across the club and the role of supporters in shaping the matchday environment.
“Returning to the top of the table is a testament to the hard work across the club, including our matchday staff, as well as the incredible support of our fans and the atmosphere they create at the Gtech,” Stephens told Brentford’s official website.
For Brentford, the result is a reminder that Premier League growth is not only measured through transfer fees and league-table targets. The club have returned to the top of a league-wide supporter survey, and the challenge now is to keep that connection strong as expectations around Brentford continue to rise.
