Predicted starting XI and all the latest Brentford team news ahead of Liverpool's trip to the Gtech Community Stadium on Saturday afternoon in the Premier League.

Late fitness checks will be made to determine the availability of Kevin Schade and Jannik Schuster ahead of Brentford's fixture with Liverpool, after both were substituted with injury issues in last weekend's 2-2 draw with Aston Villa.

Brentford will be looking to maintain their unbeaten start to the Premier League season as they welcome Andoni Iraola's Liverpool to the Gtech Community Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The Bees have won two and drawn four of their opening six league games, currently sitting fourth in the Premier League table, having not lost at home since February.

Visitors Liverpool sit a singular point behind Brentford in ninth, looking to bounce back from last weekend's 3-0 defeat to Manchester City.

Brentford came away unbeaten from their two fixtures with Liverpool last season, with Keith Andrews' side beating the Reds 3-2 at home in October, before drawing 1-1 at Anfield on the final day of the Premier League season in May.

Latest Brentford Team News

Keith Andrews says a decision is yet to be made regarding the involvement of Kevin Schade against Liverpool, after the winger was substituted with a shoulder injury in the 2-2 draw at Aston Villa.

The German international is Brentford's top scorer this season with three Premier League goals, and scored in both of last season's fixtures against the Reds.

The availability of Jannik Schuster, who was also substituted with injury at Villa Park, is up in the air too.

On the fitness of Schade and Schuster, Andrews said: "Jannik and Kev have been on the grass this week and we'll see what tomorrow brings in terms of how much they can do."

Andrews also confirmed that Mikkel Damsgaard and Nathan Collins are both edging closer to a return. Damsgaard was absent from the squad to face Aston Villa after picking up an ankle injury on international duty with Denmark, whilst club captain Nathan Collins has not featured since the 1-1 draw with Sunderland due to a calf problem.

Antoni Milambo, Josh Dasilva and Kaye Furo all remain unavailable.

Despite the absentees, Brentford's head coach was keen to stress his view that the squad is overall in "a really good place."

Predicted Lineup

Any potential absence of Kevin Schade leaves Keith Andrews with decisions to make out wide.

Keane Lewis-Potter could potentially return to a more natural left wing position if Schade is unable to feature, having filled in in an attacking midfield role last weekend in the absence of Mikkel Damsgaard, although Dango Ouattara, who has not started in the league since being substituted at half time in the draw with Sunderland, will be hopeful of regaining his place.

A potential shift of Lewis-Potter to the wing could bring a return to the starting lineup for Mathias Jensen who has recently returned from injury. The Dane's appearance off the bench at Villa Park was his first since starting the opening day 3-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur.

Elsewhere in midfield, club record signing Mamadou Sangare will be pushing for a starting berth after impressing off the bench last weekend. The Mali international started the season in excellent form, however has faced fierce competition from Yehor Yarmoliuk for a place alongside Vitaly Janelt in the heart of the Bees' midfield in recent weeks.

The likely need for Lewis-Potter in a more attacking role should see summer signing El Hadji Malick Diouf start back to back league games, having made his full Premier League debut for the club last weekend.

Doubts surrounding Jannik Schuster's fitness could see the potential return of Sepp Van den Berg. However, having not played for Brentford since May, it is unlikely the Dutchman will be thrown straight back into a starting role, and any potential Schuster absence could see Aaron Hickey required to fill in as a makeshift centre-back, where he impressed off the bench against Aston Villa.

Predicted Brentford XI to face Liverpool: Kelleher; Kayode, Schuster, Ajer, Diouf; Sangare, Janelt, Anthony, Jensen, Lewis-Potter; Thiago
