Brighton have had an absolutely incredible April. A trio of nominees have hit the Premier League hard this month.

From the 3-0 win over modern rivals Chelsea, to beating Liverpool 2-1 at home, the Seagulls have truly hit form when it really matters. Their incredible run has placed them right back into the conversations for European football.

Brighton's April record: W2 D1 L0

The Premier League has recognised the Seagulls' players for some of their incredible moments over the time period. So who has been nominated, and why?

1. Fabian Hürzeler - Manager of the Month

Fabian Hürzeler has truly turned the ship around on the South Coast. Only a few months ago, Brighton fans were even calling for their own manager's head.

Nominated alongside: Nuno Espirito Santo [West Ham], Daniel Farke [Leeds United], Pep Guardiola [Man City], Andoni Iraola [Bournemouth], Vitor Pereira [Nottingham Forest], Arne Slot [Liverpool].

Fast forward to now, and the Seagulls sit in 6th place in the Premier League table. Without sounding dramatic, they've deserved it. The most significant part of the run hasn't only been the impressive wins, but the manner in which they've happened.

For the first time since his arrival, it feels like the style of play is finally clicking, and that has only been said since Albion hit their lowest against Crystal Palace. The manner of a lowly 1-0 defeat was a tough watch, but that is truly in the past now. Hürzeler is back on the tips of tongues, and Brighton are in a European conversation again.

2. Pascal Groß - Player of the Month

The German general, a real club legend and continuing as if he never left, Pascal Groß has had a fantastic April for Brighton.

Nominated alongside: Jarrod Bowen [West Ham], Rayan Cherki [Man City], Morgan Gibbs-White [Nottingham Forest], Konstantinos Mavropanos [West Ham], Noah Okafor [Leeds United], Nico O'Reilly [Man City], and Alex Scott [Bournemouth].

While he faces tough competition, a large portion of Albion's incredible form has been down to him.

Brighton find themselves at the top of the form table at the moment, and when you compare performances before Groß's re-arrival, the contrast is nothing short of staggering.

An added maturity across the squad, two assists, and an unbeaten month. It's impossible to undervalue Pascal.

3. Kaoru Mitoma - Goal of the Month

What a goal. You don't even need to see it to know exactly which goal has been nominated for the monthly pickout.

Nominated alongside: Rio Ngumoaha [Liverpool], James Justin [Leeds United], Xavi Simons [Tottenham], Rayan Cherki [Man City], Andy Robertson [Liverpool], Eberechi Eze [Arsenal], Mathias Jensen [Brentford].

Mitoma's unstoppable strike against Tottenham has been included, and what a goal it was! A side-footed full volley on his 'weaker' left foot. The goal was an important equaliser in a tough game away from home, and gave Albion a huge boost of confidence before half-time.

The technique on the strike was vintage Mitoma. Only shortly before his re-emergence to goals, the world had somehow forgotten just how talented the Japanese superstar actually is.

One of the most underrated players of a generation, and his name is still up in lights for another Premier League season.
