Defying age with elite fitness and tactical mastery, the German playmaker’s superhuman form cements his legacy as an indispensable leader in Brighton’s most dominant top-flight era yet.

Pascal Gross wins player of the month for SeptemberMore Videos

Pascal Gross has beaten off competition from Albion teammate Charalampos Kostoulas, Jeremy Jacquet, Alexander Isak, Kevin Schade, Antoine Semenyo, Mohamed Belloumi and Jaden Bogle to win the Premier League player of the month award!

His best moments in a Brighton shirt to date?

Up there. Definitely. If we are talking about his form relative to his age, what he is doing at 35 is incredible. Super human. Fitness levels, sharpness, aesthetics, terrific ability on the ball, the German has it all.

In my opinion, he is currently in the best form of his Albion career to date, in a system he feels very comfortable in and that maximises his abilities in all phases of the game.

And this isn't to put down what he did in the Hughton, late Potter or De Zerbi eras either. This is Pascal Gross in his prime. Underrated is no longer in his vocabulary, he simply has to be recognised as one of the leagues very best.

Was there ever any competition?

Nope. Pasc was head and shoulders above others, a list that included Charalampos Kostoulas, who would have been second place for me.

It has been an incredible start to the season for the Albion, with others performing at a top level, such as Malick Yalcouye, Luka Vuskovic, Maxim De Cuyper as well.

Aside from his outstanding output, Pascal is crucial in a team that was criticised by many fans for having a lack of leadership and experience, taking over the role as captain when Dunk has not been available.

The German's best ability is his availability, only missing a handful of games in a Brighton shirt due to injury. The guy is a cardio machine- covers the most ground every week, plays every full 90, and yet recovers insanely well week in week out.

Pascal Gross will continue to be one of the best players in the league, there is no doubt in my mind. Now he finally has some recognition for years worth of 'under the radar' work with the Albion.

Pascal Gross, is no longer underrated. He IS one of the leagues best.
