The Skippers’ 30 yard stunner away at Coventry is one of the favourites for the September award, and will likely continue an impressive run from The Seagulls.
Does Dunk Deserve Goal Of The Month?
The Albion captain stole all the headlines from our impressive 5-0 battering of Coventry with an incredible strike from distance to net the fourth of the game.
After a spell of working the ball around the Sky Blue’s box, Chema Andres played a simple pass back to Dunk, who proceeded to let fly, smashing the ball so far into the top corner that you couldn’t place it any better.
This is Dunk’s 18th Premier League goal for Brighton, and arguably now his most memorable.

Dunk is most certainly one of the favourites for September's award, with his closest competitors likely being Bruno Guimaraes’ strike against Sunderland and Ainsley Maitland-Niles’ last gasp equaliser for Everton against Man United, however you’d expect Dunk to win the vote of the experts panel with little difficulty.
The Seagulls Impressive Goal of The Season Run
Assuming it wins September’s Goal of The Month, it will also be nominated for Goal Of The Season, and if it does it will continue a very impressive run for Brighton.
If nominated for the season award, it’ll be the FIFTH season in a row in which an Albion Player has been nominated for the Official Award! This follows in the footsteps of: Karou Mitoma Vs. Spurs in 25/26, Carlos Baleba Vs. West Ham in 24/25, Karou Mitoma Vs. Wolves in 23/24 and Julio Enciso Vs. Man City in 22/23, which was that season's winner.
We’ve certainly been treated to some wonderful strikes over the years, and this finish certainly lives up to the top billing of its predecessors.
