The Seagulls are moving to secure their prized 19-year-old winger with a long-term deal, keeping the former Manchester United starlet at the Amex to fight for minutes.

Brighton and Hove Albion starlet Nehemiah Oriola is set to sign a new deal at the club until 2029, according to The Athletic.

Oriola is described as a very exciting talent at Brighton, as Fabian Hürzeler has kept him around his first-team squad for some time now. The 19-year-old is expected to remain in action, as opposed to going out on loan. All players progress differently, of course!

The Nigerian-Ghanaian mixed-English winger started his career at West Ham before making a move to Manchester United's academy for three years. The type of exciting player who loves to take on his man and compete with whoever is in front of him. Players like this are hard to come by, but seemingly not at Albion.

He will compete with the likes of Yankuba Minteh, new boy Zadok Yohanna, and Harry Howell for minutes next season. A decision will be made in January as to whether he could go out on loan for the remainder of the season, depending on how his development progresses.

When Oriola was playing in the Premier League 2, he registered an impressive eight goals and four assists in just 18 appearances. He made his Premier League debut for Brighton in their whomping 3-0 victory over Leeds United last season.

Hürzeler likes him and will look to continue his steady progress towards becoming, hopefully, a regular in his system for 2026/27.
