Fabian Hürzeler’s high-flying Seagulls aim to bounce back at Anfield, while the Reds look to unleash a revitalized Alexander Isak as key injury updates shake up both squads.

Brighton and Hove Albion have a quick turnaround after a difficult evening last night against Jablonec in the Europa Conference League.

Luckily for Fabian Hürzeler, he has an instant opportunity to put things back to rights, as a trip to Anfield awaits his high-flying Brighton side.

The Seagulls have had a rather incredible start to the Premier League. Winning five of their first seven games, and an unstoppable 5-0 win over bitter rivals Crystal Palace last time out.

What is the Brighton team news?

Hürzeler's side is likely to be mostly unchanged, but there is some news to report from his press conference this morning.

Yankube Minteh could return to the bench this weekend or next. Minteh suffered a leg injury in a pre-season friendly against Roma and has yet to feature this season.

Pascal Struijk is set to remain out of the squad, as the club is taking his recovery slowly. Struijk was sent off against Sunderland after being deemed to be the last man between the ball and the goal.

However, the appeal overturned the decision, judging Wilson Isidor unlikely to make the ball before Bart Verbruggen, so the red card was overturned. In quite hilarious Albion fashion, the player has been injured throughout his ban anyway.

The same faces are still set to miss out with long-term injuries.

The likes of Evan Ferguson, Stefanos Tzimas, Kaoru Mitoma and Zadok Yohanna are not deemed close to returning to the side.

However, Mats Wieffer is nearing a return, as is the new £15 million signing, Femi Azeez. Azeez signed from Millwall on deadline day, but hasn't been able to make an impact on the pitch yet.

When looking at a game like the 0-0 against Jablonec yesterday, there could be a case for Azeez to be a game-changing player in those types of matches.

When looking at their opponents, Andoni Iraola's press conference kicks off at 1:30PM, where we will find out more regarding the possible Liverpool starting 11.

The Reds haven't had the best start to the season but are growing in confidence. Alexander Isak has finally started to find his feet in the side, having scored five goals so far this season.

Liverpool are thought to have a continued interest in Minteh, who could make the bench as aforementioned. It would be interesting to see how they would react to his name on the pitch after the failed transfer last summer.

Hürzeler's side will be happy with any form of points they can take from this game. Continuing their charge to qualify for the UEFA Champions League.
