Witness Welbeck's stunning free-kick, dramatic Chelsea brace, and a brilliant strike. These unforgettable moments defined his sensational 2025/26 season.

Brighton have had a lot of joy when it comes to big signings, but there have been not many better free transfers than none other than the potential England international, Danny Welbeck.

Welbeck has had a tough career before he came to the Seagulls, but since arriving, it truly feels like he has found his home.

1. Goal vs Brentford

There are not many better goals scored from any other player in the Premier League this season than this incredible strike from Danny Welbeck.

It didn't have to be the best shot from distance or free-kick, but simply planning the run at the perfect time to meet the well-weighted cross from Yankuba Minteh. The phrase 'a touch of class' gets thrown around a lot, but put it this way, if this were to be Erling Haaland in the Champions League, we would see it on at least three Sky Sports adverts!

2. Brace vs Chelsea

Emotionally, of course, this goal deserves the number one spot.

Danny Welbeck's Chelsea brace will be given credit for some of the best celebrations the Albion away-end's have ever seen in the Premier League era. Nodody does away days quite like 'Dat Guy Welbz'.

Albion were second best for a large portion of the game, before a red card to Trevor Chalobah totally shifted the dynamic. All of a sudden, Albion were on the front foot.

Yankuba Minteh shifted to the left side, and created an onslaught of chances. Waves after waves of attacks later, his cross met the head of Welbeck, who fired into the top left-corner. With little time left, Minteh continued the barrage. Maxim De Cuyper headed home a stoppage-time winner, and Albion were in ecstacy at the Bridge.

Only moments later, the ball fell to the feet of Welbeck, more running work from Minteh had Chelsea beyond rattled, and Welbeck scored again. A left footed effort high into the corner beat Robert Sanchez. Welbeck ripped off his shirt, and the Albion faithful were in dilereum.

3. Freekick vs Manchester United

In terms of quality, Welbeck has surprised a lot of people with his free-kick ability. Despite being a largely poor game, the Albion away end still felt the feeling that the Albion number 18 could make something happen out of the blue.

The ball was placed around 25 yards from goal, and simply, a good enough strike would dip over the wall and under the left side of the bar. That is exactly what Welbeck did. A beautifully taken freekick found the net, and Albion fans dared to dream.

While it wasn't enough to impact the game, the goal will still be remembered as one of the best scored in his record campaign.

An honourable mention will also go to the time when he jumped over the head of Lewis Dunk on his shoulders. A swift reminder that the Albion skipper is 6ft 4in, how did he manage that?! All for a goal celebration, vintage Danny Welbeck.
