Chelsea set up their fourth-round tie against Liverpool after beating Luton Town and Leeds United in the previous rounds. Meanwhile, Andoni Iraola's side knocked out Spurs in the third round.

Mike Penders will start in goal for Chelsea despite his error against Spurs. With Emiliano Martinez still sidelined, Alonso will give the Belgian another chance.

Josh Acheampong, Levi Colwill and Maxence Lacroix have become the preferred three in defence. Wesley Fofana will be itching for a chance to start at Anfield, as will Malo Gusto.

Marco Palestra will be pushing for a start. Valentin Barco and Romeo Lavia have had to be patient in recent weeks, so Alonso has a decision to make in midfield - how strong does he go?
