It was known that as soon as Liam Rosenior’s departure as Chelsea coach was reported, names would start flying around. Chelsea’s bench is very strong, and the squad is highly recoverable, so managing the club at Stamford Bridge is tempting for many coaches. With the dismissal confirmed, the focus fell on two people: Cesc Fabregas and Filipe Luis. However, the board’s stance would be different.
From Chelsea’s upper management, they want to take their time to define Rosenior’s replacement, see how some pieces move, and then choose calmly and precisely. In that context, Chelsea has information that Antonio Conte could leave Napoli.
