De Zerbi did not hide his admiration for Chelsea's front three, but he insisted the Blues have more than just the trio.

Tottenham Hotspur boss Roberto De Zerbi said Chelsea have a “very good” fourth attacker in Pedro Neto alongside “one of the best” front threes in the Premier League.

Chelsea currently sit fourth in the Premier League table, and it is safe to say their three attackers, Cole Palmer, Morgan Rogers, and Joao Pedro, have played the most prominent roles at the start of their season.

It was even more evident earlier in the season when Chelsea really struggled defensively and had to rely on their attackers to outscore their opponents to pick up points.

All three of them are in the top 10 list of direct goal contributions in the league, with Joao Pedro (five goals and three assists) jointly leading the charts alongside Manchester City’s Erling Haaland.

Neutralising these three would be on the agenda of every Chelsea opponent, but Tottenham head coach De Zerbi argued that the Blues have other players, including a fourth attacker, worth paying attention to.

“One of the best, for sure,” De Zerbi said in Friday’s press conference when asked if Chelsea’s front three are the best in the Premier League.

“Talent, three big talents, and they also have Pedro Neto, another very good player.

“They have (Jordan) Henderson and (Danny) Welbeck, Estevao (Willian); they have more than three players, but these three are in the best moment of their careers.”

Neto has emerged as a key player for Chelsea under Alonso, playing as an attacking right wing-back. He has so much freedom in attack that Alonso previously argued that the Portugal international is not a wing-back.

Neto’s threat in the final third was very evident in last week’s 2-0 win over Everton. While Everton focused on dealing with Chelsea’s front three, Neto lurked in spaces left behind and punished the hosts with a brace.

However, De Zerbi claimed that Chelsea’s attacking quality has not affected his team.

Asked if he senses any fear in his players, he responded: “No.”

He said this is also the case about Chelsea staff, despite Spurs’ poor head-to-head record against the west London side.

“No, I think no, because I played just one game with Chelsea as Tottenham coach,” he explained. “Anyway, it has to be one more motivation. Not one more problem for us.”

Spurs’ fitness worries ahead of derby

Aside from Lucas Bergvall, Savio, Xavi Simons, Wilson Odobert, Destiny Udogie, Mykhailo Mudryk, and Rodrigo Bentancur (suspended), a couple of other Spurs players remain doubtful for their trip to Stamford Bridge.

De Zerbi confirmed that James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski trained individually in the last few days.

However, it is not all bleak for Spurs since Pedro Porro is back in contention, as are both Andy Robertson and Omar Marmoush, who had minor issues during their win over Coventry City.

Obviously, Tottenham are dealing with a much more extensive injury list than Chelsea, who will be without Emiliano Martinez, Reece James, Pep Chavarria, Jamie Gittens, and Emmanuel Emegha.
