Chelsea, unhappy with Wesley Fofana's performance, has offered him to Barcelona, hoping to get around €30 million.

Chelsea would be interested in selling French defender Wesley Fofana, and they reportedly offered him to FC Barcelona with the intention of recovering around €30 million, according to Sky Sport. This is because the club is not satisfied with the player's overall performance since his arrival in London in 2022, when Chelsea bought him from Leicester City for the modest sum of €80 million.

However, Barcelona is eager to negotiate a loan with the English club, with an option to buy the player. It is well known that the Spanish club is not in its best economic moment. As an example, we could use Marcus Rashford, who arrived at the Blaugrana club on loan from Manchester United.

Despite having a good season with the team and delivering in the important moments when required, Barcelona has asked for a couple of months to reduce the price stipulated by United, that is, €30 million.

The team coached by Hansi Flick to this day has refused to buy the English footballer for that amount, and since the Red Devils have made it clear they will not lower their price by a single cent, the Catalans have requested a second loan.

The reality is that Fofana could fit very well into the system that Hansi Flick's Barcelona runs. His arrival at the club would imply having more rotation options in the Blaugrana defense, which is often hit by injuries to Ronald Araujo. Additionally, given the Frenchman's speed, he could be considered an emergency right-back option when Jules Kounde is not available.

As for Chelsea, the accumulation of poor results has generated huge discontent among fans, as well as former players, who say this Chelsea has lost the essence that once made it great. Players with their heads down and a streak of six consecutive losses have set the stage for heads to start rolling at Stamford Bridge.

The first head has already rolled, and it was Rosenior's. The coach was fired after arriving in January, and despite the board having said on multiple occasions that they would wait with him until the end of the season, he was dismissed in April.
