Everton’s official TikTok account mocked Chelsea winger Alejandro Garnacho in a recent post, taunting the Argentine after the Toffees handed Chelsea its fourth consecutive defeat.
Everton’s official TikTok page couldn’t resist taking a dig at the Argentine winger after inflicting Chelsea’s fourth straight loss this weekend. The video, which went viral in a short time, shows a 34-second highlight reel of Garnacho being outmuscled by Toffees defender Jake O’Brien and arguing with referee Samuel Barrott, and it carries a cheeky caption that reads: “Not everything is rosy at Hill Dickinson Stadium.”
While Everton’s social media team celebrated the victory, Chelsea manager Liam Rosenior was left to reflect on another defensive collapse. Following the defeat, the 41-year-old coach, when asked about the individual errors that led to Everton’s goals, said: “Yeah, the responsibility is 100% on me. Goals give you energy, and right now we’re giving away goals. We’ve given away two goals from serious errors.
We started nervously, and in the first 10 or 15 minutes, we made some stupid mistakes, but then we got into the game, and it feels like this happens every week. What happens is the crowd gives energy to the opponent, and their confidence grows. In the end, Everton deserved the victory, and that’s something we need to improve very, very quickly.”
The loss leaves Chelsea stuck in sixth place, but the Stamford Bridge hierarchy is reportedly standing firmly behind Rosenior, with no formal review planned until the summer of 2027.
The board acknowledges that consistency has been difficult to maintain since Enzo Maresca’s departure midway through the season and now hopes the next transfer window will strengthen the squad’s mental fortitude and tactical balance, with Garnacho’s position potentially in jeopardy given his inconsistent first season at the club.
Chelsea now have a brief respite to regroup during the March international break before facing League One side Port Vale in the FA Cup quarterfinals. It is a key opportunity to secure a trophy in an otherwise turbulent season, with the squad eager to salvage some silverware and the fan base desperate for a lift.
Knowing a deep cup run could define the campaign, but the pressure will remain high as they soon return to Premier League action against Manchester City, closely followed by a crucial Champions League clash with Manchester United, with both teams fighting for six points.
