Levi Colwill answered a few questions about his Chelsea teammates, including the joker in the squad.

Levi Colwill has named fellow defender Wesley Fofana as the "joker" in the Chelsea dressing room.

When Marc Cucurella left Chelsea to join Real Madrid on a deal worth up to £51.8 million, the club lost more than one of the best left-backs in the world.

Cucurella was also an important figure in the dressing room as a leader and for the positive energy he brought.

Whenever a Chelsea player was asked who the funniest player on the team was, the answer was almost certainly Cucurella. The Spaniard's cheerful, playful personality made him a popular figure among his teammates. Fitting in amongst the type of players who can lift team spirit.

Of course, with Cucurella moving back to Spain, someone else has inherited the title of funniest at Chelsea, and according to Colwill, it is his fellow centre-back, Fofana.

Speaking to Chelsea’s in-house media, Colwill admitted that he is naturally closest with the English players in the squad, such as Danny Welbeck, Morgan Rogers, Cole Palmer, Reece James, and Jordan Henderson.

These are the players he usually has lunch with at Cobham and sits next to when travelling on away trips.

However, when asked who the biggest joker in the squad is, he responded: “For me, Wesley Fofana.” Colwill also named Fofana as the loudest member of the team.

Interestingly, Colwill also believes the France international would make the best goalkeeper among Chelsea outfielders.

“Probably Wesley Fofana again. I feel like he's just a bundle of energy, and he'd actually enjoy it. He's a bit crazy, like goalies!” he explained.

Chelsea jokers

It is no surprise that Fofana has now become the funny guy at Chelsea. It's increasingly noticeable in his interviews: he always smiles and pokes fun at everything.

Remember when he dubbed Cucurella “the captain of Mandem FC” on Snapchat after Chelsea’s Europa Conference League celebration last year?

Colwill, on the other hand, may come across as calm and serious. But everyone knows he can be funny too, as shown by his teammates' reaction when he posted an edited photo of Brazilian legend Pelé with Welbeck’s face, calling him Welè, on Instagram.

However, if anyone at Chelsea could compete with Fofana for the title of funniest, it would likely be Palmer.

The Chelsea star player is known for his dry humour and hilariously laid-back reactions in interviews.

He recently had his Twitch stream taken down by game developer EA Sports for streaming the latest edition of EA Sports FC before it was officially released.

The developer left a message: “Errr Cole, weren't we going to do this a bit later? We'll be live at 6pm UK!"

Palmer later posted on his Instagram story, tagging both Twitch and EA, saying: “I was only giving the people what they wanted... unban me pls."

He also took a dig at the developer after discovering that his overall rating had dropped from 87 to 85.

He argued: “I need a word with EA. They took two ratings off me. I had one leg for ten months last season; what do you want me to do?"
