Manchester United coach Carrick sends a warning to Chelsea: If the west London club insists on buying a player the Red Devils also want, United will steal one of Chelsea's biggest stars.

According to TEAMtalk, Carrick backs Manchester United signing Rogers. Both coincided at Middlesbrough, and Carrick praises the forward’s ability to succeed at Old Trafford. His recommendation carries weight at Carrington, where INEOS’ strategy targets young English talents.

His offensive versatility makes him ideal for the new project, as he can play in any attacking position or as a creative midfielder.

Aston Villa does not want to part with its gem and, according to reports, has set a selling price above 80 million pounds for Rogers. This figure reflects his growing reputation and the financial structure of his previous transfer.

Middlesbrough will receive 20% of any future sale, so Villa needs a large sale to maximize its profit. Rogers has a contract until 2031, so the club is in no rush to sell him; however, past losses could force it to negotiate if a very attractive offer arrives.

United’s interest in Rogers could trigger a domino effect that affects Chelsea and its star, Palmer. According to reports, the “Red Devils” have warned that if Rogers signs for Stamford Bridge, they will immediately intensify their pursuit of Palmer.

That would put the “Blues” at a crossroads: strengthening the squad without losing one of their most influential players. Chelsea has been following Rogers for more than a year and considers him a perfect fit for its academy-focused project. However, United’s warning has added a new strategic dimension to the fight for offensive talent.

The summer transfer window is approaching, and the battle for Rogers promises to intensify. United, Chelsea, and Arsenal are preparing their strategies to strengthen, while Villa maintains its valuation.

For Rogers, signing with a team that offers Champions League options is attractive, as he seeks to establish himself as one of the most promising offensive talents in England ahead of the World Cup.

That said, for Chelsea to want to stay in the race for Rogers, it must first focus on adding points in the league, as it currently sits sixth (Europa League) and 4 points behind fifth place (Liverpool).

It cannot afford to keep dropping points against rivals where, on paper, the Blues are favorites. Its next match is this Sunday against a heavyweight, Manchester City, which is more inspired than ever after Arsenal fell to Bournemouth.
