Unlike one of his team mates in the middle of the park, this is a great example at responding to reports linking you with a move away from Stamford Bridge

It feels reasonable to say that Chelsea fans are pretty glad the international break is upon us. After four straight defeats, it's clear that everyone was in need of a break and mental reset.

The vibes around the club are seriously negative right now, and everyone has just about had enough. A good example of the current bad energy around the club have been the interviews of Enzo Fernandez, who continues to say "we'll see" regarding his future at Stamford Bridge.

Well, he is not the only South American midfielder at the club who has recently spoken about his future. Indeed, as Moises Caicedo has also been asked during this international break.

Ahead of Ecuador's upcoming friendlies with Morocco and the Netherlands, the Chelsea number 25 was asked about links to Real Madrid, and responded by saying: "I have a contract with my club, and I want to become a legend there. Now after the national team (this break), I want to continue there and finish in the same way."

Some very encouraging comments from Caicedo. He hasn't said anything like "we'll see what happens" or anything like that. There are no reports suggesting he is exploring a move, unlike with Fernandez.

Considering the Argentine will be the captain for most of the rest of this season, with Reece James injured, it is not a great look that he hasn't dismissed any talk of a move away. Even if he has the right to be frustrated at the current situation, the optics are not good.

Meanwhile, Caicedo states that he wants to become a legend in SW6. That is exactly the sort of commitment you want from a player. His performances have dropped lately, but it is clear that he is still one of Chelsea's very best players, and someone you hope the club will build around in the years to come.

The question to the Ecuadorian came from Spanish media, which checks out considering their aforementioned clash with Morocco will take place at Atletico Madrid's Wanda Metropolitano stadium this Friday. They will then play Netherlands in Eindhoven on Tuesday.

At the moment, you can most certainly see a Chelsea without Fernandez next season. Right now, you can't imagine the team without Caicedo. That is the big difference here ultimately. You don't want to build around players who aren't committed, even if their frustration at the project is understandable. Let's wait and see.
