Mark Bright Responds To Criticism Of Steve Parish

Crystal Palace's 0-2 defeat to Newcastle on Sunday piled further pressure on Pierre Sage, but also saw fans point the finger at the club's hierarchy for the management of the summer transfer window along with a number of other issues.

One fan on X directed a post towards club ambassador Mark Bright.

"@Mark__Bright tell your mate we’re sick of him and what he’s done to this club. Half empty stadium with no atmosphere since kick off, the worst head of recruitment we’ve ever had, pathetic from top to bottom"

Most people inside football ignore comments on social media, but Bright made the decision to reply to the fan on a direct message, which was later screenshotted and shared publicly.

"What he's done to this club? What, won three trophies in two years? The best period in the clubs history? We are in a tough place, no one is enjoying being where we are, we need to stay together, I understand everyone's frustration I'm not naive, stick with the team, we will get better."
