Crystal Palace manager Oliver Glasner admitted he had mixed feelings on his side’s draw with West Ham.

Tom Masters gives his post-match analysis of Crystal Palace's 0-0 draw with West Ham.

Oliver Glasner has admitted that he has ‘mixed feelings’ on Crystal Palace’s 0-0 draw with West Ham.

The Eagles’ fatigue began to show after back-to-back European weeks and they were unable to break down a stubborn West Ham side.

Ismaila Sarr did score but the goal was correctly disallowed for a handball by Jean-Philippe Mateta.

There were positives to take too for Palace besides being unable to score, with Dean Henderson’s magnificent save guiding the team to their 12th clean sheet of the season.

It is this big positive and the failure to score that Glasner means by mixed feelings and he explained that to Sky Sports post match.

“A bit mixed feelings like always after a draw, but let’s talk more about the positive sides,” Glasner said.

“Another clean sheet, what I really liked to see is for me, it looked like at the end of the game, we were closer to winning, we really increased the pressure.

“Once we scored, that was disallowed, I think that was okay because JP [Jean-Philippe Mateta] touched the ball with his hand and on the other side we had many set plays in the last period of the game.

“But they were not really good enough, West Ham really defended their box very well and so overall, I think the point is okay.

“When I see all the circumstances, we played four days ago and we know the situation that they are in, and we matched their motivation today, so it is all good.”

West Ham showed their danger from set pieces when Konstantinos Mavropanos came within a whisker of scoring shortly before half-time but it was well saved by captain Henderson.

Glasner was frustrated by how many set pieces his team gave away but was pleased his team were able to deal with them so well.

“I think their biggest threat came from set plays today, I think we gifted them too many, especially in the first half and they are very dangerous with great takers and many tall players,” he continued.

“We know Soucek, we know Mavropanos, we know Disasi, their strikers are tall and Bowen really delivers the balls very well and Fernandes the same, so I think this was their biggest threat.

“From a second phase, this was where their biggest challenge came from, I think in the second half, we didn’t give them a chance on the other side.

“We didn’t really create enough in the final third, but again when I see the situation where we are in, I think the performance was absolutely okay.

“The commitment was great and we tried until the final whistle and that is why I am pleased with the point.
