Tom Masters reveals how Crystal Palace are keeping tabs on Liam Rosenior.

Crystal Palace are keeping an eye on Chelsea manager Liam Rosenior as a potential replacement for the outgoing Oliver Glasner.

Glasner will depart Selhurst Park at the end of this season, with Eagles fans hoping he can add a third trophy to his time in south London after guiding Palace to the FA Cup and Community Shield.

That has led speculation to mount on who will take charge of The Eagles next season, with a whole host of managers making the cut.

And now, according to Football Insider, Chelsea’s current manager, Liam Rosenior, is the latest to be added to the list of potential replacements.

Rosenior took over from Enzo Maresca at Stamford Bridge on January 6 and has had a topsy-turvy start to life in south west London.

He secured memorable victories over Atalanta and West Ham but headed into the international break off the back of four straight defeats and with Chelsea failing to score in three consecutive matches.

That has led to increased scrutiny on his performance and with Rosenior never a popular appointment with Chelsea fans due to the nature in which he was taken from sister club Strasbourg, there has been significant displeasure sung in the stands in recent weeks.

Fans could hardly wait to leave Stamford Bridge when Chelsea were thumped 3-0 at home by Paris Saint-Germain, which saw an overall aggregate score of 8-2.

There was a scene that may define the Rosenior era, of all four corners of the stadium emptying when Senny Malulu scored PSG’s third of the night after 62 minutes, and the pictures at full-time were far cry from the Chelsea of yesteryear.

That leaves Rosenior under pressure, with Chelsea facing Port Vale in the FA Cup quarter-finals and a battle to finish among the top five and retain their spot in the Champions League for next year.

According to the article, Rosenior has been a long-term target since before he took the reins at Stamford Bridge.

Mick Brown revealed to Football Insider that Palace are monitoring his situation and could swoop in if Chelsea decide once again to sack their manager.

It is thought Palace were impressed when they came across Rosenior when managing Strasbourg in December in the Conference League and that the swtich to Stamford Bridge has done little to quell their interest.

There will be many more names that come into the list and Thomas Frank remains a top contender after being removed from Tottenham duties earlier in the season.

But Rosenior could be the man to replace Glasner in one of many stories that will need to be monitored over what is set to be a busy summer.
