Dean Henderson (England)

Dean Henderson's World Cup continues from the sidelines as England defeated Panama 2-0 to secure top spot in Group L.

There was a hope before the tournament began that he might be able to sneak onto the pitch if England were already through ahead of the Panama clash but a 0-0 draw to Ghana scuppered that.

Jordan Pickford remains Thomas Tuchel's first-choice goalkeeper, and so Henderson once again had to settle for a place on the bench as England booked a Round of 32 tie against Democratic Republic of Congo.

Chris Richards (USA)

Chris Richards was rested as the USA completed their group stage campaign with a 3-2 defeat to Turkey.

Having already secured qualification and top spot in Group D, Mauricio Pochettino rotated his side, but Richards remains a key figure heading into the knockout stages where the USA will face Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Maxence Lacroix (France)

Lacroix was finally handed his first World Cup minutes as France defeated Norway to finish top of Group I.

With qualification already secured, Didier Deschamps rotated his squad and the Palace defender finally got his opportunity to feature on the biggest stage, starting over Arsenal’s William Saliba in the 4-1 win.

France will now face Sweden in the round of 32.

Jean-Philippe Mateta (France)

Like Lacroix, Mateta also made his World Cup debut against Norway.

The striker was introduced late on as France wrapped up top spot in the group and will now hope to earn further opportunities in the knockout rounds.

Ismaïla Sarr (Senegal)

Sarr continued his excellent tournament with another goal and an assist as Senegal thrashed Iraq 5-0.

The Palace winger now has three goals at the tournament and helped Senegal qualify as one of the best third-placed teams.

They will now face Belgium in the round of 32.

Jørgen Strand Larsen (Norway)

Strand Larsen started against France but endured a frustrating evening as Norway rotated their side heavily for reasons known only to them.

The striker saw a penalty saved as Norway were soundly beaten 4-1, although qualification had already been secured before kick-off.

They now face Ivory Coast in the round of 32.

Daniel Muñoz (Colombia)

After starring in Colombia's opening two matches with goals in both, Muñoz was largely rested against Portugal.

He appeared only briefly from the bench as Colombia secured top spot in Group K with a goalless draw.

Jefferson Lerma (Colombia)

Lerma once again started for Colombia and completed an hour of their draw with Portugal.

The midfielder has been a consistent performer throughout the group stage and remains a key figure as Colombia prepare for Ghana next.

Daichi Kamada (Japan)

Kamada completed another impressive group-stage campaign as Japan drew 1-1 with Sweden.

The Palace midfielder played the full match and now turns his attention to a difficult knockout clash against Brazil.

Yeremy Pino (Spain)

Pino earned further minutes as Spain defeated Uruguay 1-0 to finish top of Group H.

The winger has gradually become more involved as the tournament has progressed and will hope for a bigger role in the knockout rounds.

Chadi Riad (Morocco)

Riad retained his place in Morocco's defence despite their heavy rotation as they completed qualification from Group C.

The centre back has enjoyed a strong tournament so far and has established himself as a regular starter for his country alongside Fulham’s Issa Diop.

Owen Goodman (Canada)

Goodman once again watched from the bench as Canada completed their group stage campaign.

While minutes have been difficult to come by, the young goalkeeper remains part of a Canada squad that has reached the knockout stages for the first time in their history.

Evann Guessand (Ivory Coast)

Guessand again did not come on for the Ivory Coast and had to sit and watch on as they defeated Curacao 2-0 to guarantee second in the group.

He did earn some minutes in the loss to Germany and he will hope to get more involved against Norway next time out and possible throughout the latter stages.
