Daichi Kamada - Japan 2-1 Venezuela

Daichi Kamada continues to start for Japan, and despite the quality that they have in their midfield ranks, the Palace man continues to start and play consistent minutes, captaining the side too.

He was the best player on the pitch until Ayase Ueda came off the bench to score a brace to win the game, including a 96th minute penalty after Venezuela had taken the lead just after halftime.

Kamada always shows his class when playing for his national side, and this game was no different, controlling the tempo of the game.

He misplaced just one pass in the 46 minutes that he played, and was playing a more reserved role to what he’s been playing under Pierre Sage in the Premier League so far this season.

Japan will round off their international schedule with a game against Ecuador on Thursday evening.

Honest Ahanor - Türkiye 1-4 Italy

With this break coming so soon into the beginning of the season, many players and countries are following strict training routines which is seeing players miss out on games during the break as their minutes are monitored.

Honest was an unused substitute in Italy’s first game, but was not even on the bench in this matchup with Türkiye. A commanding 4-1 win away from home gave Roberto Mancini’s side their first win of the new Nations League.

Honest will be looking to feature in one of Italy’s two remaining games against either France or Türkiye again.

Taha Majni - Tunisia U20 0-0 Morocco U20

Palace’s new academy signing Majni captained his country at under-20 level as they began their U20 AFCON qualifying campaign on Monday evening. The centre back played 80 minutes in the game, and continues to look like a really bright spark for the future.

Majni has been playing with Palace’s under-21s since signing from Union Touarga Sport for a fee in the region of €700k, and at just 18, has a massive future in South London.
