Reunited with his former manager, West Ham’s star winger could escape the Championship as David Moyes targets the prolific forward to replace outgoing talent.

Everton manager David Moyes is ready to go all out to sign West Ham winger Jarrod Bowen in the summer transfer window.

Bowen could be on the move over the next weeks or months after the Hammers were relegated from the Premier League. The English forward has shown plenty of loyalty to West Ham over the years, but dropping down to the Championship could see him finally depart.

West Ham may need to cash in on some of their key stars due to losing the financial benefits that come with playing in the Premier League.

Moyes knows the West Ham captain well from his time in East London, with the duo winning the Europa Conference League together.

Bowen made the move to West Ham back in 2020, signing a five-and-a-half-year deal from Championship side Hull City. Since then, the 29-year-old has been a key figure for the Hammers, even becoming captain more recently.

A departure for Bowen feels inevitable this summer after West Ham's relegation, but so far, it remains unclear where he will end up. If Moyes gets his wish, Bowen could be plying his trade at the Hill Dickinson Stadium during the 2026/2027 season.

Everton boss David Moyes wants Jarrod Bowen

According to journalist Alan Nixon, Everton manager Moyes is ready to go all out to sign West Ham winger Bowen in the summer transfer window.  It's claimed that Moyes wants Everton to make a bid in the region of £20 million for the winger, seeing him as an ideal replacement for Iliman Ndiaye.

The Toffees could lose the Senegalese international in the summer transfer window, meaning they'll need to find a replacement.

Moyes is said to be pushing hard for Bowen, but the English forward does have other interests. Bowen is said to be on other lists, but he would be Moises' first choice option if they were to sign a new winger this summer.

West Ham's relegation to the Championship has made Bowen available, opening the door for Everton to make a move.

Bowen will turn 30 during the 2026/2027 season, so Everton won't want to pay too much to secure his signature. The Leominster-born forward is Premier League-proven, just like Moyes wants, and he contributed significantly in terms of output last season despite West Ham's struggles.

Bowen contributed 20 goals and assists combined in 38 Premier League matches, but he couldn't help Hammers succumb to relegation.  If the former Hull City man wants to get back into the England setup after being omitted from the World Cup squad, he may have to find a move back to the Premier League.

Everton have a big decision to make over winger Ndiaye, with the Senegalese international attracting interest this summer. Bowen is certainly a player who can replace Ndiaye and make an immediate impact, but there are question marks over whether it's a smart addition long-term.

If Everton pay over £20 million to bring Bowen to the club, there's little chance they'll be making a profit on the forward in the future.
