Everton are in the market for right-back reinforcements for David Moyes' squad in the summer window.
Everton have identified Manchester City right-back Rico Lewis as a target for the summer transfer window.
The Toffees are undoubtedly going to be signing at least one right-back during the summer transfer window. Everton have already lost Seamus Coleman, who left the club at the end of his contract. David Moyes has been utilising centre-back Jake O'Brien on the right-hand side of defence recently, so it's a position they need to strengthen in.
Everton have been behind the times with full-backs in recent years, with their regular options often struggling to make an impact in the final third. If the Merseyside club wants to progress and start pushing for the European places, they need to shift to more modern full-backs.
Everton arguably need to bring in additions on both sides of the defence, but right-back is undoubtedly going to be the priority this summer.
Everton eyeing Rico Lewis
According to journalist Pete O’Rourke, Everton have identified Man City's Lewis as a target to reinforce their right-back options.
The journalist claims that Nathan Patterson could also leave before the end of the window, with there being interest in the Scottish international. Several right-backs have been linked with a move to the Hill Dickinson Stadium so far this summer.

Lewis could leave Man City in the summer after struggling for regular minutes last season. The 21-year-old might be hoping that he can have a fresh start under Enzo Maresca, but a departure could be best for him in terms of his development.
A sale for Mad City would represent pure profit on the books, which could tempt them into sanctioning a departure. The links to Lewis make a lot of sense for Everton, considering their desperate need for a new right-back. It will also improve the technical level of the squad.
Everton linked to a number of right-backs
Everton have been linked with a host of different right-backs in the summer transfer window so far.
Strasbourg's Guela Doue appears to be a key target for the Toffees, but he could be out of reach due to his price tag. West Ham's Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Tottenham's Djed Spence have also been linked with a move to Everton.
Another reported target is Atalanta's Raoul Bellanova, with Everton clearly prioritising a move for a right back this summer.
Everton have secured two new additions so far, bringing in Tyrique George from Chelsea and Middlesbrough's Hayden Hackney.
