Everton set to sign young striker
According to a report from the Daily Record, Everton are set to sign Dundee United youngster Hutchinson after he turned down a professional contract with the Scottish club.
The Toffees are believed to have submitted an offer for the young striker, who has told Dundee United that he wants to leave the club this summer. If the two sides can't reach an agreement, then the deal would come down to training compensation.
Both Wolves and Norwich City have had six-figure bids turned down for Hutchinson, but he is now expected to sign a scholarship deal with Everton.
The 16-year-old is believed to be a highly rated striker at Dundee United, who had high hopes for him after an impressive last couple of seasons in particular.

Despite being just 16 years old, Hutchinson has previously trained with the first team during his time at the club. Hutchinson has also been fielded in the SPFL Trust Trophy for Dundee United's B-side, while he was also included in the travelling party for a senior game against Hibernian.
Dundee United are believed to be desperate to tie him down to a new contract, but it appears their luck is out, with Everton now likely to secure his signature.
Unfortunately for the Scottish club, Dundee United are powerless to stop Everton from bringing Hutchinson to the Premier League side after he turned down a professional contract with the club.
Dunder United's loss is Everton's gain, especially if he develops into the player that many in Scotland expect him to be.
