Everton host Championship side Wolves in the Carabao Cup third round on Wednesday evening.
Everton will be looking for revenge on the Midlands outfit this weekend, after Wolves knocked them out of the same competition last season.
Wolves are undoubtedly weaker this time around after they were relegated from the Premier League, but they've kept a strong core of players and added some experience to the squad.
The Wanderers currently sit in seventh position in the Championship table having won three, drawn two, and lost one so far this season, while they do have a game in hand on the majority of the sides above them.
Wolves have played twice in the competition so far, dispatching Port Vale 3-0 in the first round before winning 2-0 away at Sheffield Wednesday late last month.
Everton will be hoping for a repeat of their second-round tie against Preston North End, where the Toffees breezed through into the next round with a 4-0 win.
David Moyes will likely be looking to rotate his side a little with it being a quick turnaround before Premier League action returns against Ipswich Town at the weekend. The Toffees only faced Tottenham a few days ago, so a little rotation might be necessary to keep everyone fresh.
Team news
Everton will be without Christian Norgaard once again, with Moyes recently confirming in the pre-match press conference ahead of the Tottenham clash that the Danish midfielder is unlikely to return until after the international break.
Merlin Rohl may also be unavailable for the home side after he missed the game against Tottenham through injury.
Meanwhile, Kieran Trippier recently returned to action for Wolves following his injury, but it might be a little too soon for him to make a start. Wolves could give a run out to substitute goalkeeper Joao Virginia after he recently signed, who is of course previously of Everton.
Predicted XI
Pickford; O'Brien, Keane, Tarkowski, Mykolenko; Hackney, Armstrong; Dibling, Alcaraz, Grealish; Barry.
As mentioned, Moyes is likely to make some changes to the starting XI for multiple reasons. The Everton boss will be keen to freshen things up, while the likes of Tyler Dibling, Charly Alcaraz, and Hayden Hackney are among those who deserve starts.
Grealish is yet to play from the beginning since his summer move, so it could be a good opportunity for him to get more minutes in his legs.
Jake O'Brien came off the bench at right-back against Tottenham, and he could be in line for his first start of the campaign.
Risking Jarrad Branthwaite feels unlikely after his injury troubles earlier this year, but it wouldn't be a surprise to see him on the bench.
