Fulham’s European push continues at the hardest possible away day, with the Cottagers visiting an Arsenal side who sit top of the league. Fulham are still mathematically able to qualify for all three European competitions.

Tom Masters previews Fulham's clash with Arsenal in the Premier League.

Fulham’s European journey continues as they travel from west London to north London to face Arsenal.

After overcoming Aston Villa and seemingly getting their push for the European places back on track, Fulham now have the opportunity to have a real say in the title race.

Arsenal are currently the league leaders, three points ahead of Manchester City, albeit the Cityzens have a game in hand.

Fulham, meanwhile, sit 10th in the Premier League table, level on points with eighth-placed Chelsea, who occupy the final European spot in the form of the Conference League.

But, what sort of form are the two sides in and who do we expect to see named in Marco Silva’s team?

Form Guide

Fulham recovered from a shaky return to domestic football after the international break, with an important win over Aston Villa following on from disappointing performances against Liverpool and Brentford.

For the Cottagers to take four points from those three matches, they have given themselves every chance of a strong finish to the season.

Arsenal, meanwhile, fell into complete freefall on either side of the international break, being knocked out of both cup competitions and losing successive Premier League matches against Bournemouth and Manchester City.

They did return to winning ways against Newcastle on Saturday in the league, with a 1-1 draw at Atletico Madrid on Wednesday in the Champions League semi-final.

Previous Meetings

The two clubs first met in an FA Cup tie in February 1904, when Arsenal were still called Woolwich Arsenal.

The Gunners won that clash 3-2 and have dominated the fixture over the next 122 years.

In total, the sides have now met on 66 occasions, with Arsenal the victors in 44 of those matches.

There have been 13 draws and Fulham have won just nine times.

Arsenal have won the last two matches between the sides but there was a draw and a Fulham win in the two games before that, while the last five matches have all been decided by a goal or less.

Team News

Ryan Sessegnon’s match-winning performance came to a premature end against Aston Villa and he is out for at least two weeks with a hamstring complaint.

Alex Iwobi remains out with a thigh issue of his own and Kevin, who was thought to be out for the rest of the season, may now find himself back in the squad for the final couple of games but not this one.

Kenjy Tete has recovered from injury though and may find himself on the bench.

Predicted XI

Fulham (4-2-3-1): Leno; Robinson, Bassey, Andersen (c), Castagne; Berge, Lukic; Chukwueze, Smith Rowe, Wilson; Jimenez

Odds

Arsenal are the clear favourites according to Bet365 and are 12/25 on to win.

Fulham are 11/2 to win, while a draw is at 7/2.

What did Marco Silva say?

“It's another very difficult game for us; there are three points to fight for, so we are going to fight.

“It's not a good record [at the Emirates] - not one we should be proud of.

“We drew there with 10 men a couple of years ago. We have to go there thinking that it's possible.
