Oscar Bobb and Sander Berge helped Norway victory over Denmark in their first Nations League clash.
The opening night of the new Nations League competition saw Norway defeat Denmark 3-2 in a battle that involved as many as three Fulham players.
As ever, Manchester City forward Erling Haaland took centre stage, scoring Norway’s second and third goals, but it was Fulham’s very own Oscar Bobb who got things under way for the home side.
He took Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard’s pass in his stride and was able to then curl the ball into the corner to give Norway the lead in Oslo.
Haaland then added a second just four minutes later, as Norway led 2-0 inside the first 20 minutes to get their campaign off to the perfect start.
The same could not be said for Denmark, who included Fulham’s Joachim Andersen in their backline.
But the Danes did hit back before half-time, with Brentford’s Mikkel Damsgaard scoring a sublime free-kick from 25 yards out.
And, despite the best efforts of Fulham’s other player involved in this clash, Sander Berge, Norway were pegged back on the hour mark when Rasmus Hojlund levelled the scores.
Haaland did bag a second though 14 minutes later, with Odegaard again assisting, in a night where Norway’s very best players certainly put on a show.
There was some late drama when David Moller Wolfe was sent off for a second yellow card in stoppage time but it did not stop Norway from taking the three points.
It means that Berge, Bobb and Norway went top of League A, Group 4, with Portugal beating Wales 1-0 in the other match in their group.
It means that the battle between Norway and Portugal on Sunday night will be the clash between the top two sides in the group.
Denmark will take on Wales in Copenhagen earlier in the day in the other match as Andersen looks to help his side get their first points on the board.
Also in action on Thursday night was Austria, who beat Israel 3-1.
Fulham defender David Affengruber was forced to sit on the bench for the duration of the match, with Philip Lienhart and Kevin Danso starting at centre back for Austria.
On Friday night, there could be a whole host of Cottagers in action, as the Nations League, Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers and U21 Euros qualifiers see plenty of Fulham players quite possibly on the pitch.
