Fulham finally got off the mark in the Premier League - can they go on a run now?
Fulham were finally able to do what had eluded them for so long and earn all three points to win their first game of the season.
They did so with a tense 1-0 win over Hull, in a game that had all the hallmarks of being another disappointing end for the Cottagers.
Not least due to the sheer number of chances they had to put the game to bed.
Alex Iwobi was the scorer but probably should have had a brace and on another day could have scored a hat-trick.
Calvin Bassey should have scored, as should Gonzalo Garcia and Josh King was unlucky on one occasion and sloppy on another.
In the end, it was job done, but it really should have been far more comfortable than it was.
Of course, that won’t matter to Alvaro Arbeloa, the Fulham players or the Fulham supporters.
They finally got themselves a win and in doing so have, temporarily at least, lifted themselves out of the relegation zone.
After a week in which there was so much pressure on Arbeloa that it seemed the only possible result was the Spaniard being sacked after only seven matches, there must be some credit given to get over the line, especially with the late red card to Ryan Sessegnon.
Now Fulham have that win, they have the opportunity to make some inroads on pushing themselves up the table.
First up is a clash with Coventry.
After beating one of the newly promoted sides and losing to another, Fulham could really do with another win to really show they have turned a corner on the road in Coventry.
The question really is, can Fulham go on a run?
Well, one win, even if it is as dominant as it was, can be interpreted as a fluke.
If Fulham get a second win and start to push up the table, then the confidence will be that much higher than it currently is.
But, from a playing sense alone, do Fulham have what it takes?
Well, on the face of it, they have failed to score more than one goal ever since their 3-2 defeat to Crystal Palace in September.
Following that, it has been a bit of a struggle in front of goal.
But they are creating the chances and so that suggests that the goals may follow.
Defensively, having lost 3-2 in two of their opening three matches, they have tightened up significantly, conceding only three goals in four gameweeks.
Those two markers suggest that Fulham have perhaps been a little unlucky and could well be on the brink of going on a proper run.
After Coventry, they take on Crystal Palace in the Carabao Cup, before facing Aston Villa and Newcastle this side of the international break.
Chances are certainly there for Fulham to get themselves on a run of form; it will simply be up to the Cottagers to ensure they improve on their finishing and keep up their defensive strength, as well as a bit of luck, of course.
If those two happen, then, there is no reason Fulham cannot force their way up the table within the next few weeks.
