Marco Silva is admired by the Crystal Palace hierarchy as they look to try and replace Oliver Glasner this summer but according to James Savundra of Sky Sports, his appointment at Selhurst Park is unlikely.
Marco Silva is in demand with his contract coming to an end, and the latest club to show interest in the Portuguese is Crystal Palace.
Palace are in the market for a new manager this summer, with Oliver Glasner due to depart the Eagles in the summer regardless of whether they win the Conference League or not.
There is set to be a major merry-go-round of managers, with Glasner departing Palace and Andoni Iraola leaving Bournemouth, while Silva’s contract runs out at Fulham.
Chelsea are looking for a new permanent manager after sacking Liam Rosenior and we are still unsure on whether or not Michael Carrick will be appointed at Manchester United permanently.

We have seen the Portuguese linked with Chelsea already and now, according to James Savundra of Sky Sports, there is also a link with Crystal Palace.
Of course, in the situation of Silva, we do not, at this stage at least, know whether he is actually leaving or not, to be quite frank, I am not sure he even knows.
But he is in a position of strength to negotiate, as he can tell Fulham he is leaving this summer and there is nothing they can do to stop him.
Savundra said in a piece on Sky Sports: “Sky Sports News reported last month that Palace were already moving onto other targets due to the unlikelihood of Iraola switching to Selhurst Park.
“Palace also have admiration for a host of other managers such as Thomas Frank, Marco Silva, Frank Lampard and Kieran McKenna but it is not clear which - if any - of these are on the shortlist.”
That is initially something of a concern but Silva, who has spent five years at Fulham, taking them from the Championship into the Premier League and establishing them there, with a record total hit last season, is unlikely surely to leave that all behind to make the sideways step to join Palace.
And that, it seems, based on Savundra’s post on X, is where things really lie, Palace admire Silva, much like Fulham admire Silva, but he is after bigger things quite frankly and to me it does seem that it is Fulham or a Champions League club for the Portuguese.
Savundra’s post read: “Crystal Palace have a shortlist of six to succeed Oliver Glasner. Austrian won’t u-turn regardless of Conference League fate.
“Andoni Iraola preferred candidate but Crystal Palace expect him to go elsewhere.
“Silva, Lampard & McKenna admired but not likely appointments.”
