Marco SIlva has made it clear that he is not happy with his right back options, so who could Fulham sign on the right this summer?

Tom Masters explains three right back options Fulham could sign this summer.

Marco Silva wants to sign a right back this summer, and with their current options in that position ageing, it would make sense for the club to indulge.

Kenny Tete and Timothy Castagne are both 30 years of age and have contracts that are expiring in the near future.

And so it is perhaps time for the club to enter the market and add some real quality to their defence.

Silva will want someone who can do the same as Antonee Robinson but on the right-hand side, with the ability to chip in with goal involvements as well as be on top of their man in defence.

So, with that in mind, we look at three potential options for Fulham to sign at right back.

Wagner Pina (Trabzonspor)

A player that has been linked with Fulham is Wagner Pina of Tranzonspor.

The 23-year-old has been in fine form for the Turkish side since moving from Portuguese side Estoril in the summer.

Trabzonspor have enjoyed a top season and Pina has been a large part of that, with seven assists in 29 Super Lig appearances.

They have also kept nine clean sheets this season.

Pina, who is set to represent Cape Verde at the World Cup this summer, is a target of Fulham’s, according to FourFourTwo.

It is asy to see why with his ability on both sides of the ball.

Givairo Read (Feyenoord)

This is a player who is going to be on the radar of virtually every top club in the land, such is his ability.

The 19-year-old Dutch right back has already shown that he has the capabilities of following in the footsteps of some other elite Dutch youngsters and was made a part of the leadership team ahead of this team despite his young age.

In fact, CIES identified Read as effectively the next big thing, calling him the best player born since 2006 not plying their trade in a top five league.

Read will have plenty of potential suitors and so Fulham will have to act fast but if they did so, they would have a hell of a talent on their hands.

Jon Mikel Aramburu (Real Sociedad)

A third possible option is Jon Mikel Aramburu, the Venezuelan defender, currently playing for Real Sociedad in La Liga.

After a slow start since his move from his native Venezuela in 2022, Aramburu has emerged as a key performer for Real Sociedad in La Liga over the last two seasons.

He played seven times in the Copa del Rey as the Basque side went on to win the trophy and, at just 23, would provide an excellent option for Fulham as a player with top-level experience but who is young.
