Marco Silva has made it clear that he wants Fulham to sign a striker this summer, and with Raul Jimenez departing and Rodrigo Muniz struggling, it seems it is time to dip back into the market for a goalscorer. But who could Fulham sign?
Fulham are likely to be fairly busy in the summer transfer window this summer, with or without Marco Silva at the helm.
The Portuguese has made it clear in no uncertain terms that he is not happy with the striking options the club has, and transfer targets will be important for either Silva or his replacement this summer.
The Cottagers have Raul Jimenez, who has scored nine goals this season but is set to leave at the end of the season, and Rodrigo Muniz, who has scored just one goal this entire season, which came back in the opening game of the season against Brighton.
So it is clear that Fulham are lacking in the goalscoring department and with their attempts to sign Ricardo Pepi from PSV, it would appear the board are aware of this issue.
Pepi, however, looks to be one that got away for Fulham, with the American failing a medical and so, who could Fulham sign as a centre forward this summer?
I have identified three options that could fit for the Cottagers and Marco Silva this summer.
Mika Biereth (Monaco)
The Danish forward once called Fulham his home, after coming throgh the club’s academy, before being poached by Arsenal.
The 23-year-old never went on to make an appearance for the Gunners, instead going on loan at RKC Waalwijk, Motherwell and SK Sturm Graz, before joining the Austrian side on a permanent deal in 2024.
He joined Monaco in January 2025 and took to Ligue 1 like a duck to water, scoring 13 goals in 16 appearances last season, scoring three hat-tricks by the end of February.
This season, he has had to resort to fewer minutes, sitting behind another ex-Arsenal forward in Folarin Balogun, who has taken back the starting shirt.
Biereth has proven he has goals in his game, and as someone with links to Fulham and looking to be a starter again, he could be the perfect fit for the Cottagers.
Romulo (RB Leipzig)
Fulham were in the market for the Brazilian forward last summer but he ended up joining Bundesliga side RB Leipzig from Goztepe in Turkey.
There, he has been solid if not exceptional, scoring nine goals in 27 matches.
Fulham could well target the six-foot-four Brazilian for a second time this summer.
A physical option, more in the mould of Aleksandar Mitrovic, he could well be a man who scores a lot of goals at Craven Cottage.
Zan Vipotnik (Swansea)
A Championship option but one that makes a lot of sense for Fulham.
At 24, Vipotink has had a season to remember, scoring 23 goals to sit comfortably at the top of the Championship top goal-scoring charts.
Zan Vipotnik has scored 23 goals in the Championship this season for Swansea. With Swansea sitting comfortably in mid-table and no chance of promotion, Vipotnik will surely be looking at a move to a Premier League club.
As he has proven this season at the Liberty Stadium, Vipotnik is a natural goalscorer and could certainly be a good fit at Fulham.
