Fulham's Samuel Chukwueze and Alex Iwobi were both involved from the start as Nigeria defeated Iran 2-1 in Jordan. But defender Calvin Bassey has been sent away from the Super Eagles camp with a back injury that will concern Cottagers fans.
Fulham stars Samuel Chukwueze and Alex Iwobi both started as Nigeria defeated Iran 2-1 but there was no Calvin Bassey due to injury.
Nigeria, who are not at the World Cup this summer, faced Iran, with the match moved to Turkey following the ongoing troubles in the Middle East.
It took just six minutes for Fulham’s loanee Samuel Chukwueze to play Moses Simon through on goal and the left winger made no mistake to put the Super Eagles a goal to the good.
Former Cottager Ademola Lookman assisted Akor Adams for the second goal, in the absence of Victor Osimhen, who withdrew with injury.

Chukwueze was replaced after 68 minutes by Paul Onuachu as Eric Chelle rang the changes in a game that meant very little to Nigeria, outside of the pride of representing your country of course.
Iwobi played the full 90 minutes, as he so often does for Fulham, in the midfield pivot that he has become accustomed to under Marco Silva.
But the main story from a Fulham perspective is that defender Calvin Bassey was withdrawn from selection for the squad after suffering an injury.
That means he misses Nigeria’s other friendly, which will be against Jordan next week.
It will be a concern for Fulham if the injury, which is said to be a back injury, is remotely serious, with Bassey being a hugely important cog in the Fulham backline alongside Joachim Andersen.
At this stage, the severity of the injury is unknown and Fulham fans will be hoping it is just a precaution that Bassey is not involved for the Super Eagles across the two matches.
Upon the return to the Premier League after the international break, Fulham face Liverpool at Anfield, before the all-important visit to Brentford, in a match between two teams chasing European football and hosting Aston Villa.
In May, Fulham line up against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in a hugely daunting match, before ending the season against two of their rivals for European football.
First hosting Bournemouth at Craven Cottage on 9 May, Fulham then also host Newcastle United on 24 May, either side of a visit to Molineux on 17 May.
Fulham currently sit ninth in the Premier League table, having won three of their last five matches and are just two points off European football.
