Fulham star Harry Wilson is attracting interest from several clubs in the Premier League, one of whom is Everton, who are reportedly leading the way to secure his signature. Wilson's contract runs out this summer and he can leave the club on a free.

Tom Masters explains the latest on the ongoing Harry Wilson situation.

Everton are in a ‘strong position’ to secure the services of Fulham’s Harry Wilson next season, according to Football Insider.

Wilson has been Fulham’s star player this season and has netted 10 Premier League goals in 29 appearances, as well as assisting six times.

But it has been well-documented that he is out of contract in the summer and could leave the club on a free transfer if a new deal is not agreed.

And, with Wilson in the form he is in, it is hardly surprising that clubs are swirling around trying to convince him to stay.

Roundtable have already reported that Aston Villa are one of those clubs, with Unai Emery hoping to bolster his squad with the quality that Wilson can bring.

The same can also be said of Everton, who, like Fulham, are pushing for European involvement after their 3-0 demolition of Chelsea before the international break.

And, according to Peter O’Rourke, the transfer correspondent at Football Insider, David Moyes’ side are now the leading contenders to persuade Wilson to part ways with Fulham and head back to Merseyside.

Wilson graduated from the Liverpool academy but never made a Premier League appearance for the side he was contracted to for 17 years.

He signed with Fulham in 2022, in his only permanent move, after being loaned out six times, including to the Cottagers.

Now 29, Wilson is left in limbo with no contract agreed, with manager Marco Silva also not signing a new contract and the likes of Raul Jimenez likely to leave this summer, in what could be one of significant change at Craven Cottage.

O’Rourke previously said on Football Insider’s Transfer Insider Podcast: “Harry Wilson looks like he will be leaving Fulham on a free transfer this summer.

“He’s weighing up his options ahead of the summer as a free agent, and he’ll have the pick of a number of clubs because he’s had such an outstanding season.

“He’s in the best form of his career right now which has come at a good time for him - Everton are one of the clubs leading the hunt right now.”

Wilson is also being courted by Leeds, who will have to retain their Premier League status to have any chance of Wilson heading to Elland Road, and Wrexham, Wilson’s birthplace, but it seems unlikely that in such good form, the Welshman would downgrade to the Championship at this stage.

One thing is for sure, Fulham will need to act fast if they want Wilson playing in white next season.
