Leeds United's EFL Cup Third Round tie against Chelsea has been confirmed for Wednesday 9 September.

The Whites will travel to Stamford Bridge for the cup clash, with kick-off scheduled for 8pm.

The match has also been selected for live television coverage on Sky Sports Main Event.

Leeds booked their place in the Third Round following an impressive 2-0 victory over Nottingham Forest at the City Ground in midweek.

Daniel James gave the Whites the lead shortly after half-time before a late second goal secured progression and set up a meeting with Chelsea.

The trip to Stamford Bridge will give Leeds an opportunity to continue their EFL Cup campaign against one of the Premier League's biggest sides.

The two teams met on three occasions last season, with Leeds enjoying one particularly memorable victory at Elland Road.

Daniel Farke's side defeated Chelsea 3-1 in West Yorkshire during an impressive run of results.
