Just three days later, Liverpool face a considerably different challenge as they travel to Stamford Bridge to take on Chelsea.

The clash is now scheduled for Saturday 5th December, at 12:30pm, with TNT Sports broadcasting the lunchtime encounter live.

Chelsea away is rarely a straightforward assignment, and the early kick-off adds another twist to what is traditionally one of Liverpool's most fiercely contested Premier League fixtures.

The third fixture change comes two weeks later, when Tottenham Hotspur visit Anfield on Saturday 19th December, for a 5:30pm kick-off, live on Sky Sports.

It promises to be another entertaining evening on Merseyside, with Liverpool hoping to make home advantage count against familiar Premier League opposition.

Demanding Turnaround Concerns For Iraola

For Andoni Iraola, however, the biggest concern may be the demanding turnaround between Sunderland and Chelsea, with his players given fewer than three full days to recover before travelling to London.

December also brings Champions League football against Porto on 9th December, followed by a home meeting with Leeds United on 12th December, which will not be televised live in the UK.

Supporters can watch Sky Sports fixtures through an eligible Sky subscription or NOW Sports membership, while Chelsea's clash with Liverpool will also be available to stream through TNT Sports on HBO Max.

With important league points, European commitments and the festive schedule all competing for attention, December could prove a defining period for Iraola's Reds.

One thing is certain: Liverpool supporters have plenty of football to look forward to before Christmas.
