Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola has asked to leave the club as he searches for more game time, with Desire Doue, Ousmane Dembele and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia all ahead of him. The £60 million Frenchman is linked with moves to Liverpool and Arsenal.

Breaking news has arrived this afternoon as Paris Saint-Germain’s French winger, Bradley Barcola, has asked to leave the club. Rumours have been circulating about Barcola’s future since last season, but now it seems he is heading out the door, reports Alex Crook.

There are multiple European clubs linked with the Frenchman, who is in search of more game time. The current European Champions seem to be in favour of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Desire Doue, and Osumane Dembele ahead of Barcla.

Why does Bradley Barcola want to leave?

Whilst he is not the favourite attacking option for Luis Enrique, he is still getting a very respectable amount of playing time. He started 35 out of a possible 56 games for PSG last season.

However, some players simply want to be the star man. When anybody discusses the Parisians’ attacking players, Bradley Barcola is not one of the first names on the list, simply because of the quality ahead of him.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is widely recognised as the best left winger in the world, Desire Doue is one of the world’s most elite young talents, and Ousmane Dembele is the current holder of the Ballon d’Or.

Which teams are looking to sign Bradley Barcola?

There have been multiple reports suggesting Liverpool and Arsenal are the two front-runners for his signature. His devastating pace and dribbling ability are standouts that make him such an attractive prospect.

Liverpool were even linked with a move for Barcola since the summer of the 25/26 season. The club failed to replace Luis Diaz directly, as they signed 2 strikers; however, Barcola was considered as an option before the signing of Alexander Isak.

Fabrizio Romano mentioned in a recent YouTube video that Premier League clubs are aggressively pushing for his signature. Arsenal have made calls, whilst Liverpool remains interested.

How much would Bradley Barcola cost?

For a fourth choice attacking option, Paris Saint-Germain would have to be reasonable in their valuation. Their valuation would factor in his young age (23), his value to the squad, and the likelihood of a bidding war.

According to Transfermarkt, his current valuation is €70 million (£60.4 million). Some suggestions of over £100 million would be ridiculous, as there have been multiple left winger signings in recent times with similar or better quality than Barcola, leaving for a lot less.

For comparison, Anthony Gordon made a move this summer from Newcastle to Barcelona for £69.3 million. Liverpool experienced their own sale of a left winger, seeing Luis Diaz join Bayern Munich for £65.5 million.

Author’s Verdict

The question that will be on everyone’s mind now is which club will Barcola be joining? Seeing how aggressive Liverpool have been in the past summer, it would be hard to see them not as the favourites, if they truly wanted his signature.

However, having just won the Premier League and becoming UEFA Champions League finalists, it would be silly not to see Arsenal as a genuine contender too. Early suggestions have reported that Bradley Barcola is already sold on the Liverpool idea and wanted to join the club last summer - let’s see if things have changed.
