The Reds believe the tour provides the ideal environment for those players to remain integrated with the squad while continuing their recoveries however, the travelling party does not yet represent Liverpool’s full senior squad.
Several international players remain unavailable following their involvement at the 2026 FIFA World Cup and are expected to join Iraola’s group later in the tour after being granted additional time off.

Liverpool’s three fixtures against Sunderland, Wrexham and Leeds United will provide Iraola with his first real opportunity to implement his ideas against competitive opposition.
