As Alisson and Endo return to fitness, the Liverpool squad prepares for a summer boost with Giovanni Leoni and Jeremy Jacquet nearing full recoveries ahead of a crucial preseason.
Liverpool had a season riddled with injuries in all positions, but here is the latest as we finish the 2025-26 Premier League season.
Who has made their return?
Alisson Becker made his return on the final matchday of the season, seeing out a 1-1 draw with Brentford from between the sticks. He recovered from a hamstring injury and had missed 12 games before the final game of the season at Anfield.
Alisson is expected to feature at the upcoming World Cup for Brazil after being named in the 26-man squad.

He was an unused substitute against Brentford and will now head to North America in preparation for the World Cup after being called up by Japan.
Long-term injuries
Conor Bradley, who was injured against Arsenal at the beginning of the year, still does not have a return date. He is currently still in rehab following surgery for his sustained knee injury. Recent reports indicate that Bradley's injury may be more severe than initially expected, and he may not return until 2027.
Currently, Liverpool has two senior players who can fill in at right back with Joe Gomez and Jeremy Frimpong, while Curtis Jones, who is expected to make a move to Inter Milan this summer, started in the position on the final day of the season. Dominik Szoboszlai has also recorded minutes at right back, but is reportedly unhappy with being played there.
Hugo Ekitike will continue to be a big miss as he continues to work towards full fitness after tearing his Achilles tendon in the Champions League defeat to Paris Saint-Germain at Anfield. He is expected to return to action near the beginning of 2027, though no specific timeline has been given at this point.
This leaves Liverpool light in the attacking space, with Cody Gakpo previously deputizing for Isak towards the backend of the season.

He is in the final phase of recovery and is expected to be ready for preseason.
Leoni is expected to take a larger role next season, following the departure of Ibrahima Konaté on a free transfer.
Jérémy Jacquet, who was signed in the winter, will join up with the squad in the summer following a shoulder injury that kept him out of the majority of the second half of the season. He is expected to be ready for the preseason for Slot’s men.
Jacquet was signed in January from Stade Rennais F.C. in a deal worth £55m plus £5m in add-ons. The 20-year-old is expected to partner Van Dijk next season.
