Another Premier League Draw for Liverpool

Liverpool played out another draw this afternoon against Fulham at Anfield. A significantly rotated and ultimately disjointed Liverpool team struggled to get a grip of the game against the Cottagers, who performed well themselves.

Here are our individual Liverpool player ratings (out of 10) following the match:

Victor Munoz in action against Fulham [Reuters]Victor Munoz in action against Fulham [Reuters]

Alisson Becker - 5/10

Alisson made some good saves, particularly from Josh King in the second half. However, he did make an error to give the ball away cheaply in the first which required Jeremy Jacquet to make a goal line clearance.

Kostas Tsimikas - 2/10

Tsimikas was very poor in his first Premier League start of the season. He gave the ball away cheaply, put it out of the pitch often, and was weak defensively. It was no surprise that he was hooked at half-time.

Related stories

Virgil van Dijk - 5/10

Van Dijk, ultimately, kept a clean sheet. He had a somewhat quiet game, with much of Fulham's threat coming down Liverpool's right-hand side. He did, however, struggle with some poor touches towards the end of the match, which did not aid Liverpool's search for a late winner.

Jeremy Jacquet - 6/10

Easily Liverpool's best performer on the day, Jacquet handled much of what was thrown at him with ease. His goal-line clearance in the first half was a critical deciding moment of the match.

Ronald Araujo - 5/10

Araujo defended well and was aerially dominant, but he had very limited impact going forward. Perhaps that is to be expected, and he did contribute well to Liverpool's clean sheet.

Dominik Szoboszlai - 4/10

Many fans will say that this match was decided in midfield. Szoboszlai was heavily involved, but he was slow to move the ball, and his set-piece delivery fell short repeatedly.

Ryan Gravenberch - 3/10

Having had a poor cameo off the bench against Atletico Madrid, and having not started a game since Newcastle, his inclusion today was somewhat of a surprise. And it was clear why he has not been getting picked. He gave the ball away cheaply and had almost no impact out of possession. This was about as uninspiring a performance as he could have had, considering he is fighting for his place in the team.

Victor Munoz - 5/10

The World Cup-winning winger was relentless in his effort, tracked back well, and showed his pace on multiple occasions. However, he struggled to make any real attacking impact during the game.

Florian Wirtz - 4/10

Wirtz continues to cover the most distance for Liverpool, but it feels as if at the detriment to his on-the-ball game. He was extremely wasteful in possession and unable to impact the match with the ball at his feet.

Bradley Barcola - 4/10

Barcola did not do much wrong, but neither did he do much at all. The Frenchman looked extremely isolated out there today and was hardly involved. He made some useful defensive contributions and had a half-chance in the second half that he could have done better with.

Alexander Isak - 5/10

Isak is looking fitter every game he plays for Liverpool. When he was involved today, he looked sharp, but his struggle comes with the frequency of those involvements. He had two decent chances at either end of the match, and he could have done with putting at least one of them away.

Substitutes:

Milos Kerkez - 5/10

Kerkez came on for Tsimikas at half-time. He was much steadier than the Greek international, but did not really move the needle in the attacking department.

Alexis Mac Allister - 5/10

Mac Allister came on for Gravenberch in the 60th minute. He brought some line-breaking passes to Liverpool's midfield, but it was too little, too late, to influence the result.

Cody Gakpo - 4/10

Gakpo came on for Munoz in the 60th minute. He was not really involved in the game at all. That can be easily forgiven, however, as he is returning from a minor fitness issue that kept him out of Liverpool's last match.

Jeremie Frimpong - 4/10

Frimpong came on for Araujo in the 70th minute. Playing at right-back, he did bring some attacking impetus. However, his crosses lacked accuracy, and there were times when he lost the ball cheaply in the build-up to a Liverpool attack.

Rio Ngumoha - 4/10

Ngumoha came on for Barcola in the 70th minute. He brought good energy but did not do anything to change the outcome. He had a chance to win it at the very end with a volley from a Frimpong cross. But he was thwarted by Kenny Tete, who forced him to shoot over the bar.

Author's Verdict: Liverpool's POTM was Jeremy Jacquet

A poor performance overall, but only the second clean sheet of the season. Therefore, it is only right that the LFC Transfer Room's Liverpool Player of the Match is a defender, and the best of Liverpool's defenders today was Jeremy Jacquet.
