Liverpool v Brentford Confirmed Lineups: LFC Starting XI & Brentford Team News

Liverpool take on Brentford this afternoon in their first Premier League away match since the end of the international break. The Reds will be hoping for a return to winning ways in the league following a 3-0 loss to Manchester City in their last domestic match.

Brentford head into the match in a strong position, sitting 4th in the Premier League table. The Bees secured a draw away at Aston Villa last time around, following a resounding 3-0 win over Chelsea.

Alisson Becker | Alisson starts in goal.

Milos Kerkez | Kerkez returns to the starting lineup after Kostas Tsimikas played the full 90 minutes against LASK in the Champions League.

Virgil van Dijk | Van Dijk returns to the starting lineup after playing only the final 30 minutes against LASK, during which Liverpool conceded three goals. He will be hoping to lead the Reds to a clean sheet this time around.

Jeremy Jacquet | Unsurprisingly, Jacquet keeps his place in central defence after playing only 60 minutes against LASK. He was superb once again in Austria, as his continued imperious form becomes the norm.

Ronald Araujo | Araujo played at centre-half against LASK, but returns to the right-back position at Brentford this afternoon.

Alexis Mac Allister | Mac Allister is another who returns to the starting lineup after only making a cameo appearance against LASK.

Dominik Szoboszlai | Szoboszlai returns from injury against Brentford. He had been managing a 'hamstring overload' after international duty with Hungary.

Florian Wirtz | Wirtz looked much more confident as he completed the full 90 minutes in Austria. Bringing that energy back to the Premier League - and building on it - would provide some much-needed positive momentum for the German.

Bradley Barcola | Barcola scored his first, second, and third, ever Liverpool goals against LASK. He will be hoping that his hat-trick marks the start of an exciting run of form.

Victor Munoz | Munoz only played 20 minutes against LASK, so he is fresh to take on Brentford this afternoon.

Alexander Isak | Isak also returns from injury against Brentford, having recovered from the thigh problem that he picked up during international duty with Sweden.

Starting XI: Alisson, Kerkez, Van Dijk, Jacquet, Araujo, Mac Allister, Szoboszlai, Wirtz, Barcola, Munoz, Isak.

On the bench: Mamardashvili, Gomez, Endo, Gakpo, Tsimikas, Frimpong, Nyoni, Koumas, Ngumoha.
