Villarreal come into the game on the back of a 0-0 draw against 18th-place Elche. However, they defeated Napoli by three goals to one last time out in the Champions League.

Alisson Becker | Alisson keeps his place between the sticks for tonight's Champions League clash.
Kostas Tsimikas | Tsimikas returns to the starting XI after securing two assists in Liverpool's last Champions League match against LASK.
Virgil van Dijk | The captain was rested for Liverpool's visit to LASK, but he starts at home against Villarreal - with Andoni Iraola likely judging the LaLiga outfit as more dangerous opposition.
Jeremy Jacquet | Jacquet continues to be ever-present in Iraola's side, with his imperious form seemingly now the norm after another crucial display against Brentford.
Ronald Araujo | Araujo played only 45 minutes in the last match against Brentford, as he was substituted at half-time in order to bring on a more natural attacking threat in Jeremie Frimpong.
Alexis Mac Allister | Mac Allister starts after a superb performance against Brentford. The Argentine looks much like his old self this season, which has been a huge and welcome boost for the Reds.
Trey Nyoni | With Dominik Szoboszlai still recovering from a hamstring issue picked up during international duty, Iraola has opted to start Trey Nyoni.
Ryan Gravenberch | Gravenberch missed Liverpool's trip to Brentford due to suspension, so he is fresh to take on Villarreal at Anfield tonight.
Rio Ngumoha | Ngumoha gets the nod for tonight's Champions League clash after he impressed last time out in Europe against LASK and then contributed massively to a positive result away to Brentford.
Cody Gakpo | Gakpo returns from the injury he sustained during the international break, having been an unused substitute against Brentford. The Dutchman had started the season in fine form, but his fast start was quickly curtailed by a series of minor injuries.
Lewis Koumas | With Alexander Isak only just returning to full fitness himself, Koumas deputises in the Champions League once again to give the Swede a rest ahead of a huge Premier League clash against Brighton on the weekend. Koumas has quickly become a valuable and trusted member of Iraola's squad.
