Egypt goalkeeper Ahmed El Shenawy recently offered his perspective on Salah’s situation suggesting leaving Liverpool has emotionally affected the forward.
Speaking to Egyptian broadcaster ON Time Sports, El Shenawy said:
“The prospect of leaving Liverpool has affected Mo psychologically, but the situation might change and he could still stay with the team.”
“He even told me that he doesn’t know anything about his future yet.”
The comments immediately created further speculation around Salah’s next move, because of Liverpool’s new era nearing a start and Mohamed Salah‘s decision to leave in the first place was widely reported that is was due to the last era, any suggestion regarding his future is naturally going to attract huge attention.
Salah’s Agent Responds
Salah’s agent Ramy Abbas Issa has since addressed the speculation. He clarified that Salah’s future discussions remain private and neither confirming nor denying any potential departure.
“Mohamed is doing fine and neither he or I prefer to discuss sensitive future plans with people not involved in them,” he said.
“Both he and I are very private about these things. Yes, people may ask and they may get a standard polite response. But that’s it.”
The response seemed to counter the notion that external parties would have complete insight into Salah’s situation.
