0%Just as it appeared Liverpool's summer transfer window was heading towards a quiet end, the Reds have received an unexpected offer from Nottingham Forest for their star young midfielder Trey Nyoni.
Why Do Nottingham Forest Want Trey Nyoni?
The 19-year-old midfielder has impressed many since his arrival in the youth system back in 2023 and quickly rose through the U18, U19, and U21 systems to eventually go on to make his senior debut for LFC at just 17 years old.
Some of the key attributes that make Nyoni such a special talent are his calmness under pressure, with him often being given the title of 'press-resistant '. He also possesses a wide passing range as well, able to not only break the lines through the midfield, but also contribute to being able to switch the play from one side of the pitch to another.
Nyoni also has an elegance about him when he is on the ball, with him having similar attributes to the likes of Ryan Gravenberch when it comes to his ability to drop a shoulder, turn on the ball, and drive into space.

This makes it surprising that Nottingham Forest have even tried their luck with an attempt to sign the 19-year-old so late this summer.
What Has Been Reported?
According to Paul Joyce, Nottingham Forest have had a bid of £25 million, plus £5 million in add-ons, rejected by Liverpool as Trey Nyoni is seen as a valued and important member of Andoni Iraola's squad this season.
Bill Streicher-USA TODAY SportsAuthor's Verdict
Forest putting a bid in for Trey Nyoni will have been an ambitious attempt from them to try and tempt Liverpool into selling their up-and-coming young midfielder, but it was very unlikely to succeed given how highly the Reds rate Trey Nyoni.
The club has spent years helping him develop into the player he is and is going to be, and they will not have wanted to sell him right before Nyoni was going to start playing a bigger role in the first team, let alone just over 24 hours until the transfer window slams shut.
And as has been reported today, with the signing of Bradley Barcola now confirmed, that is set to be Liverpool's last major bit of business this summer, so losing Trey Nyoni is firmly not on the agenda in the final hours of the window.
