United Shouldn't Look At The World Cup To Sign Players

Every World Cup their is always at least one player who breaks through and announces themselves to the world with their impressive performances for their nation, however they all have the same trend, they never quite turn that into club performances.

Man United fell into this somewhat trap, bringing in Sofyian Amrabat on loan from Fiorentina after the Qatar World Cup, four years ago, and his six months at Old Trafford was not very eventful. And the Red Devils tried to sign Cody Gakpo after his impressive World Cup , but were beaten to his signature by rivals Liverpool, where he has struggled to find form over his 4 years there.

There hasn't been a major breakout star yet with most countries having played one game but United need to be really careful as International football is like another game at times to Premier League football.
