Manchester United legend wants champions Rashford's success at Barcelona, believing the winger has found the perfect stage to shine and win major trophies.

Marcus Rashford is not an undisputed starter at FC Barcelona, but his consistency in offensive statistics, with 10 goals and 13 assists, is drawing attention from observers and analysts at the club of his life, Manchester United.

So much so that the 28-year-old England international winger, on loan until June 30 at Barcelona with a purchase option set at £26 million, has sparked some debate about whether there is a real expectation of a recall at Old Trafford, given there is a contract in force until 2028.

A club legend, former defender Wes Brown, 46, spoke at length in glowing terms about Rashford's good progress at Barcelona, to the point of wishing him the greatest success at his current club. "It would be fantastic for Marcus to win the Champions League with Barcelona," said the former Manchester United player from 1997 to 2011, who made 362 appearances.

In statements to Betting Lounge, picked up by the Manchester Evening News, Brown stressed that at Barcelona, Rashford seems to have found the right context to exploit his talent. "He's doing really good things on the pitch, as well as scoring. The team has welcomed him with open arms, and he's in a good position to win big trophies; hopefully, that will be the case," he wished.

Amid the debate over whether a hypothetical return of Rashford to Man United would be well received and when Barcelona will make a decision on his purchase option, former England international Brown described that maintaining the current "harmony" in the Old Trafford dressing room is a future objective.

"It's a difficult situation. For me, the important thing is relationships. There are a lot of players to keep happy. That's another issue that the club will have to address," he noted while also not doubting his integration at his long-time home. "If Marcus Rashford came back, I don't think he'd have a problem with anyone, and there wouldn't be any problem on the pitch given the quality he has," he pointed out.

"Who knows what can happen after. At the end of this season, he probably won't return to United, but at the same time, you have to respect that. People want Marcus to perform well," he reiterated regarding his stay at Barcelona.

The feeling that what is happening with Rashford at Barcelona is, deep down, not so rare in the world of football dominated Brown's message. "Marcus is a local lad, and you could tell he had some issues with the management when he was at United." "We've seen it over the years in football. It can happen. He's got a good move going to Barcelona, and Marcus has a lot of pressure, and he's handling it really well," he praised.
