Carrick could ponder an attacking reshuffle as Manchester United chase vital points. Will Amad or Mbeumo make way for a clinical Šeško?

Why Šeško MUST start with Amad vs Bournemouth!

Manchester United travel to the South Coast on Friday, aiming for their first away win at Bournemouth since May 2023, as Michael Carrick’s side continue their push for Champions League football.

A 3-1 victory over Aston Villa last weekend means United have taken 22 points from a possible 27 under Carrick, the best record in the league during that spell.

They sit third, five points clear of Liverpool in fifth, and can strengthen their position in the race for Europe with another strong result.

The reverse fixture ended in a chaotic 4-4 draw, but Carrick will be hoping for a more controlled display this time.

United predicted XI vs Bournemouth

One player who will certainly remain in the side is goalkeeper Senne Lammens, who has been nothing short of fantastic since he made his debut in October 2025.

In front of him, Harry Maguire, who has recently earned a recall to the England national side, will be partnered by Leny Yoro, with Lisandro Martínez yet to fully recover from his calf injury.

Diogo Dalot has seemingly won Carrick's heart at right-back over Noussair Mazraoui, while Luke Shaw remains the only viable option at left-back, making an unchanged back-line from the win over Villa.

In midfield, Kobbie Mainoo, who is also set to be recalled to the England national side for next week's internationals, will continue next to the Brazilian icon Casemiro amid his own fantastic form in Red.

Bruno Fernandes, club captain and the man gunning to break the Premier League assist record, will start in front of the aforementioned duo and once again pull the strings.

The big question on Carrick's mind will be who starts in attack. Last time out, he benched Benjamin Šeško and played Bryan Mbeumo up top, and although the boss has praised the latter's "really good" movement at striker, he has been underwhelming.

Last time Šeško was handed starts, it was at the sacrifice of Amad, with Mbeumo moving to the wing, but this time around, especially considering the Ivorian's intensity, it may be best he starts.

This could mean that Mbeumo is moved to the bench with Šeško providing a visible target and outlet up front, with Matheus Cunha continuing on the left flank.

United Predicted XI vs Bournemouth: Lammens, Dalot, Yoro, Maguire, Shaw, Mainoo, Casemiro, Amad, Fernandes, Cunha, Šeško.
