Get the latest on Manchester United's returns and availability for Michael Carrick's crucial Leeds clash as the club face their final seven games in the race for Champions League spots.
Manchester United still have over a week to go until they are finally back in action. Their next tie comes on Monday, 13 April, when they host Leeds United at Old Trafford for an evening kick-off.
While the remaining sides in the FA Cup will return to action this weekend, the first-team are set to jet off to Ireland to take part in a four-day training camp just outside of Dublin, following the international break.
The likes of Bruno Fernandes, Matheus Cunha, and Senne Lammens have performed well for their respective national sides and are returning to Manchester this week to regroup for the final seven games of the league season.
However, there are some injury updates that head coach Michael Carrick will be waiting on, including Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Šeško, who both pulled out of international duty early last week with minor problems.
Below is the latest on United's injured players, as well as when they may be expected to return.
Lisandro Martínez
What happened: Lisandro Martínez has been brilliant since Carrick took charge, but he has missed the last five games due to a calf problem that was initially expected to be a minor problem.
What's been said: Roundtable understands that Martínez has now returned to training on grass, and is expected to be part of the squad that travels to the Ireland training camp.
Expected return date: 13 April – Leeds United (H).
Bryan Mbeumo
What happened: Mbeumo withdrew from Cameroon's international friendlies last week due to "precautionary reasons".
What's been said: The media claimed that his issue is minor and that Mbeumo is expected to return to the squad with no signifiacnt layoff in time for the training camp.
Expected return date: 13 April – Leeds United (H).
Benjamin Šeško
What happened: Šeško pulled out of international duty with Slovenia, with it being revealed that he had been struggling with a slight knock for the last few weeks.
What's been said: It was reported that Šeško's decision not to play was simply to help aid his recovery, confirming that he should be fine to return with the squad this week.
Expected return date: 13 April – Leeds United (H).
Joshua Zirkzee
What happened: Roundtable understands that Joshua Zirkzee had been struggling with a minor issue recently, which contributed to his limited minutes last month.
What's been said: Like Martínez, the Dutchman has started to train on grass, and could be available to face Leeds.
Expected return date: 13 April – Leeds United (H).
Patrick Chinazaekpere Dorgu
What happened: Amid brilliant form, Patrick Chinazaekpere Dorgu suffered a hamstring injury back in January and has missed the last two months of action.
What's been said: United recently released official footage of his gym rehabilitation, and Roundtable understands that his recovery timeline is on track for a mid-April return.
Possible return date: 18 April – Chelsea (A).
Matthijs de Ligt
What happened: Matthijs de Ligt has missed every fixture since the end of November due to a reported back problem, having started all of the club's first 13 league fixtures of the season.
What's been said:
“Honestly, it's difficult to say," Carrick said last month when asked if De Ligt would be able to play again this season. "I think it's just because it's taken that much time.
"Yeah, I can't give you any more on it, really. It's one of those things with backs that, sometimes, you think it's alright and then, all of a sudden, it's not quite right. So, we're just kind of being patient and working through it, and we'll just have to see."
Expected return date: N/A
Shea Lacey
What happened: Shea Lacey has suffered intermittent injuries this season after playing a few games for the first team under Rúben Amorim and Darren Fletcher.
What's been said: After Roundtable revealed that the young winger was back to full fitness, he played in the U21s' game against Leeds on Friday afternoon, assisting Jack Fletcher's opening goal.
Expected return date: 13 April – Leeds United (H).
Harry Maguire
What happened: Harry Maguire was sent off against Bourneouth for the denial of a goalscoring opportunity the last time United played a fixture, and was handed a one-game ban.
What's been said: The club are waiting to understand if the centre-back will be handed any further punishment after he was charged with improper conduct for his reaction to the red card.
Expected return date: 18 April – Chelsea (A).
